Failed to start displaylink service at boot

Hello there,

I installed the APT repository from Synaptics Displaylink for Ubuntu on my HP Envy x360 14fc0566nd laptop to expand my screens to two external screens.

At first everything worked out fine, the dockingstation was recognized and the displays turned on, but now they wont turn on anymore.

At boot a terminal-like screen right before the login screen says "failed to start displaylink service" in red text

Any solutions to this problem? Any help is welcome.

Are You able now to log in Zorin? Maybe remove the Docking Station for now. I guess, You used that?

And You used the Method to add the Repo. Maybe try the Standalone Installer instead. Also take a Look at this:

I tried stand alone installation and that solved the problem, much thanks!
