Fans not detected in FanControl

I am completly new to Zorin an Linux based systems but i am learning fast and willing to try. I wanted to install FanControl on my System. After opening most temperatur sensors are detected but not on single fan. Same problem with other programs like CoolerControl. Althought there i was able to manage the GPU Fans.
I have installed lm-sensors.
I ran through sensors-detect and no sensors where detected.
The first three questions return: 'Operation not permitted'
May this be my problem?
udev rules are installed.
My System contains a MSI MPG B650i Mobo and a RTX 4070 Ti

I tried many things but coming from windows i kinda lose the overview and its all a bit overwhelming. Saying this i managed to install and dual-boot alongside windows and have fun tinkering in general.

Welcome to the Forum!

Does Your System run in Wayland or X11? You can check that with the Terminal Command echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE

Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled?

You've mentioned that udev rules are installed, which is a good starting point. However, it's possible that the rules might not be correctly configured for your hardware.

Hi and welcome.

There's a tutorial here:

(Zorin 18 is a fork of Ubuntu 24.04)

Debian Based | CoolerControl i used this on my rx 6600 xt and got fans working all the time was even able to set a fan curve

if the command posted there installs with an error try

curl -1sLf
'https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/coolercontrol/coolercontrol/setup.deb.sh' | sudo -E distro=ubuntu codename="Noble Numbat" bash

then follow rest of instructions to install coolercontrol

Maybe LACT could be an alternative:

was able to also add to startup so the coolercontrol starts at startup
that was done using gnome tweaks

current temp @ 40% fan is 34c
