Feature Request: Add a Windows 11 / Arc Menu style layout option in Zorin Appearance

Hello Zorin OS Team,

First of all, thank you for the amazing work on Zorin OS 18. It is incredibly polished and smooth.

I would like to suggest a new menu layout option for Zorin Appearance, heavily inspired by the layout of Arc Menu (Windows 11 style).

Currently, it’s hard to find a built-in layout that blends all these elements efficiently. It would be amazing to have a modern, centered (or left-aligned) menu that features:

  1. A grid of Favorite/Pinned applications at the top.
  2. A "Recent/Recommended" section directly below it (showing recently used files or apps).
  3. A clear action button to toggle or slide into the "All Apps" full list on a separate pane.

This layout is standard in modern OS design and provides a huge productivity boost by keeping daily essentials under one unified view without cluttering the screen.

Thank you for considering this request!

Best regards, Sylvain

Hi and Welcome.

The Windows 11 Theme is only available in the Pro Release.

If you can't afford Pro, there is Q4OS with 'Look Switcher':

Or @sylvoie uses the ArcMenu Gnome Extension and set it up to get the Look.

Or @sylvoie install KDE-standard and add a Win11 Global Theme.
I will see if I can do this in my VM of 18.1 Core (already changed to Plasma) and post back.

Here you go. Had a few teething problems with Video type in VM machine details, but got there in the end!

Currently uploading and waiting for vimeo magic to get highest resolution of 1080p!

But that would be a bit Overkill. Instead of installing the Gnome Extension, installing a whole different Desktop Environment is for this Case way too much in my Opinion.

And if wished, the User can use a Win11 Gnome Theme and Icons, too.
