Hello, I just today installed ZorinOn(fresh move out of windows 10) and im having issues wit the "file explorer" that comes out of the box.
The bug im experiencing:
1)Open two windows of file eplorer
2)click on the icon (eirther of them) on the main bar
3) it just ends it self (I know I can result to alt tab... but ...)
when I have only one window it just minimalizes which should be normal for multiple at time
I don't quite understand the problem.
It is not a crash of nautilus.
Did you try to go to
Zorin Appearance > Windows > New Windows Placement
and set it to "spread" instead of "centered"? Then the windows of nautilus don't open congruent overlapping at the same position (it looks on the screen as it would be only window) but staggered so that you can see both.
I tried many file managers, and the only one that works for me is Nemo. Double pane which can be made permanent on each opening, the ability to easily rename files, drag-and-drop between panes, everything just works. The only thing missing is that it opens always in the home directory and doesn't remember its position when it was closed.
That actually helped. Form what I was experiencing was "both instances" just disapeared. (ie when switching from browser to file exlorer when having multiple windows of it open it just nuked them all, after reopening only one launched and was back at home directory.)
