File manager with advanced features

Hello, I have been trying our Zorin (when time allows) and am really stuck on the lack of power in the file manager. Am I missing something? Things I use daily in Windows File Explorer and need from a file manager:

  • tab management like web browsers, including dragging tabs to create or merge with new windows
  • ability to sort video files by attributes like length (not file size)
  • ability to sort music files by attributes like album artist
  • abuility to sort photos by camera model, etc.

In other words, is there a Linux file manager with power-user features? Getting a bit discouraged here.

Thanks!

You could try Dolphin but I'm not sure if it drags the whole KDE stuff with it.
OR Use a KDE oriented distro.

Or you could try Krusader:

I also included this in both Unofficial Manuals I created.

Will try, thank you.

Thank you. Was that available for Windows a some point? The name is familiar.

Yes it was. There are some Kde apps available in Windows store:

There is also some Gnome Software, GCompris.

I think the windows version may not be available. Other ones to consider are Double Commander:

and Midnight Commander:
