Files app state

Hello Zorins,

Is there a way for Files to remember the last state it was in when closed and then reopen?

Nautilus itself does not offer such a functionality, but I enabled it using a script and using wmctrl and xdotool back over a year ago... I do not recall all the details nor do I know if that technique will work on Zorin 16.
I will look in old docs and see if I can find the script and test it if I do.

Update: After finding the script- testing, then modifying it, testing, modifying more, testing more, it does not properly work.
Something in nautilus has changed, I can only guess.

I know that SpaceFM still offers this functionality out-of-the-box.

Thank you for your assistance, very kind of you.

It's one of the few things I miss from Windows: being able to use Directory Opus.

For security reasons, if someone else has access to your computer, I recommend against this. But there is no way that I know of.
