Hi my laptop Lenovo c340 ideapad fingerprint sensor is not working what to actually I tried fixing using terminal with pam auth commands but it’s showing as a option in there so I guess drivers are up to date but hardware support missing please
help me out using sensor it would be so easy for me to use

Please type the word terminal in the menu search bar, press enter key and then copy the following command by clicking on the copy to clipboard icon at the end and right click and paste it in the terminal:
lsusb
and post back the results please.

Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? If Windows is still installed: Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled? Does You System run in Wayland or X11? You can check that with the Terminal Command echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
