Firefox won't update (Jan 2026)

I'm on Zorin 17.3 Pro. The update to firefox 147.0.1 has been in my UPDATES file for several weeks. when i hit either UPDATE ALL or just UPDATE, the update screen just refreshes to the same update. Nothing happens, Firefox isn't updated.

What is the terminal output of

sudo apt update

?

In which package format is firefox installed (flatpak, snap, apt)?

Do You speak about the Software Updater or the Updates Tab in Gnome Software? When You type in Terminal sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade does this run?

FWIW I'm on Z17.3Core (so gnome DE). I was able to update FF to 147.0.1 via normal Software Updater route on 19 Jan.
Have you managed to complete other updates using Software Updater? i.e. is FF update only one that is stuck?
