I have installed flameshot twice and it just does not work. I open it.. and whe i try to take a screen shot it tell me it cant. Any ideas?
As far as I know Flameshot doesn't run under Wayland. Try switch to xorg.
Thank for the info. Much appreciated. But I like Wayland, so I will tyr to look for wayland compatible options
You can also take a look here. Maybe something helps (> Gnome Wayland):
Seemes to work! But now it only lets me work on my secondary display not my primary.
UPDATE!!! i noticed it was installing from Flat... I noticed there was a ZORIN OS installer option. I uninstalled the FLAT ONE and installed the zorin one and it seems to work
Yes thats means you installed the app as the deb format instead of Flatpak.
As Flatpak is sandboxed, some apps work better as the deb format (which is the native package manager for Zorin OS and other Ubuntu based Linux distributions).
An example of that would be Google Chrome, which has trouble installing Progressive Web Apps if you use the flatpak version of Chrome.
I marked Your Post as Solution because it works now with this.
Thank you
See how now it works

I found Flameshot right click menu function only worked when running X11 not Wayland. But that is using Z17.3 Core. I don't know if anything has changed with Z18 Core.
I shared my solutions, maybe it helps someone: Flameshot Print Button not working on Zorin 18 - Solution
I'd like to echo that bonsai's solution worked perfectly for me as well, specifically, the Wayland custom keyboard shortcut with the "sh" command line command.
