Flysky FS I6 - installation

Hello again,

We have bought a Flysky FS 16 controller for controlling model planes. You can also connect it via USB to PC. They officially released SW for tinkering with settings, but it is only for windows.

Do you know if there is some SW support for this device also on Linux and if there is some SW through which we can set it up? And if so, how to enable it?

Thanks in advance.
Using Zorin OS Core 17.3

Does the Manufacturer not offer Instructions for Linux? Maybe send a Mail to ask for it.

I lokked at thier page, they have only windows app.
I tried to make it work via bottles, so far no luck.

Did You tried to contact them?

I did now.

Unfortunately, they also responded their SW is for Windows only.

Well then ... if there is no one who maybe wrote a Driver or Software for this for Linux, You can't use it.

Yeah, wanted to try it, but this is really a low-quality obscure piece of hardware, so I am not surprised and not much of a loss.

But thank you anyway for trying.

It most likely will not work on any emulator or on WINE (Compatibility layer) because of the USB connection combined with proprietary protocols.

Can it be run on a GnuLinux distro? Kind of...

But painfully. That process requires tedious firmware replacement and is Not Easy and Not worth it.
Easier to try it on a Virtual Machine running Windows OS...
