You can format a USB drive by right clicking the drive in "Files," and clicking on "Format."
You can use "Popsicle" to burn an ISO to USB drive.
If you are on Windows, you can use Rufus to burn the ISO to USB drive

To add Alternatives to @StarTreker's Advices - which are fine - You can open the preinstalled Program ''Disks'', choose there Your USB Stick and format it.
For putting an ISO to a USB Stick, I can recommend Impression. You can find it in the Gnome Software Store as Flatpak. It is a simple graphical Tool.
If You should need one for using in Windows, I would totally agree with @StarTreker to use Rufus. I used it in the Past on Windows, too. It is a great Tool which worked well for me.
