Forum Category to be expanded, Tutorials and Guides

Hardware support is for asking for help with a hardware issue. Quite often very helpful people post solutions.

To me it would be great if Tutorials & Gudes could have sub-headings of Hardware Solutions, with sub-categories of:
Graphics hardware
Peripheral hardware

Software Solutions with sub-categories of:
General
Applications

Links to useful external guides.

When I visit the murena forum they have a Discourse forum with multiple tags so you know where to post.
This would make things much easier for forum members to narrow down their search needs without trawling through failed search results because the exact search criteria has not been met.

Forums definitely could use some more categories and sub-categories. I also think that it needs a theme makeover.

Last time I suggested something in regards to more forums, it fell on deaf ears, not one peep. :frowning:

Here is another thing that I find slightly annoying. You cannot tell which topics are for Zorin 17 or Zorin 18 or Zorin 18 Lite.

I'm on Zorin 17 and just received updates. I'm not having those issues. But looking at the topics below you cannot tell which OS is being discussed or asking help about. Inside the topics no mention of the OS version either.

It's like Zorin 17 is abandoned yet it's still active, but much of 18 has taken over, but users on 17 don't have issues like 18 etc catch my drift?

This beloved forum can be more neatly compiled. :nerd_face:

Well when it was on php.BB format, mods had more control with 'STICKY'S'.
As I recall Kyrill (@zorink) was responsible for maintaining the forum.
