I just re-installed Zorin OS 17.0 pro onto my computer. It instantly asked for an upgrade to 17.1 which went well. However, many programs refuse to open.
I tested a few programs but the ones that stood out where these,
-Software
-Videos
Important programs that work for me after a fresh install were
-files
-disks
-fire fox
-terminal
-software updater
And after some time with the OS
-Matlab
However, I formatted my machine because I was having issues with gcc versions. Now, I am getting the same error despite being on a fresh wipe. That throws VMware out of the window. Something about mismatched gcc versions.
Oh, add "taskbar settings" on to the list of not working programs.
Is it possible the iso may have been bad when you downloaded? Also why not just download the newer 17.1 iso then avoid all the upgrades after the fact? Well there would be some but it would make it a bit faster post install.

I'll see if I can get an up to date ISO from the Zorin website then.

I'm not saying that is 100% the case, but a corrupted ISO can easily cause a whole host of issues with an installed system, but still technically install fine and appear like everything went smoothly. Well, initially, at least.
Well I didn't skip the hash check for that reason. I am getting new images but I use Zorin OS for school so it'll need to wait for this weekend for me to test. Also, Zorin OS 17.1 pro lite is available, nice.
