FWIW Zorin OS is top rated for older gaming laptops!

According to my most recent duckduck ai search, zorin os was mentioned along with Pop OS and straight up Ubuntu.

I thought that was worth posting here.

I runa an older MSI GV628RD which has an Intel core i7, 64GB main, 4gb 1050 nvidia gpu.

That’s useful to see, especially for older gaming hardware where driver support can make or break the experience. The i7 and GTX 1050 combination sounds like a good real-world example of Zorin remaining practical on aging laptops.

Only to have mentioned that: Zorin is not a so-called ''Gaming-Distro''. It doesn't have the Intention to be that. Sure, You can set it up for Gaming, yes. But it doesn't have a Gaming Focus like Cachy or Nobara for Example. Only for Clarification.

This is true. I did not want to go completely in on a "gaming only" type of distro. For my use case, it performs as well - if not better - than the Windows 10 I've left behind.

Now, after about a year of driving only Zorin... I have to get my lazy self digging through the old Window system to ensure I have anything/everything I'd want/need backed up.

I'm looking forward to completely ditching Windows from my machine.
