every game that I launch is met with compatibility tool configuration failed error. how do I make my games playable? ive tried the latest stable proton and and the exp version
If you installed it as a flat package, try instead the .deb package. It may be because flat is running in sandbox.

i was on .deb and switched to flat. i dont get that error but it looks like its going to launch but then goes back to green play button again.
Try launch the game via the termianl for error output. Also did you check the Proton Database to see if the game you are trying are compatible?
