I don't know if you are still taking requests but could you please convert one or two of these images in some of your beautiful avatars?
If it doesn't work from photos (the hidari mitsudomoe) or if you simply enjoy the 
weather too much that's okay.

Indeed they are both mitsudomoe or ‘triple tomoe’. The one obs uses is the more common version ‘turning left’.
If I recall correctly, a developer of OBS liked the symbol as seen on a taiko drum or something like that, and decided to adopt it.
In general tomoe are very commonly seen at shinto shrines and as a family crest.
