Is there still work being done on it that anyone knows of?
The last stable release was 2.3.11 / July 25, 2019.
The version available in our repository is gkrellm/focal 2.3.10-2build2 amd64.
The author's email is available at that site, you might ask them directly.

Thanks for that. Luckily that was where I got mine and it is the 2.3.11. Not a fan yet but maybe I will figure out how to make it look the way I want.
Just a side note, The Themes link on that site makes MalwareBytes mad so I avoided it and found some from 2015 at:
