Global Menu for Gnome

It is fundamentally important that users discuss, argue and hash out some of these details.
There is much that I like about the Gnome Desktop, that is conducive to efficient and fast workflow. In all honesty, there is also much I do not like as it restricts efficient workflow, too.
An honest appraisal of Gnome is necessary, for experienced and new users alike - especially in order to resist Corporate self-interest.
While Gnome has a lot of good features, it has a lot of bad ones and I firmly believe that sweeping them under the rug or trying to "talk louder" than the opposing viewpoint enables failure.

Currently the Direction that Gnome is taking seems to be detrimental for Linux users as a whole - across the spectrum... And this really needs to be examined passionately, not just brushed off.
