Gnome desktop for 16.2

My previous post went stupid so I'll try againI am trying to get and install Gnome desktop but this is proving difficult. I am told to go to Zorin utilites (cant find) then terminal. some help please

Hi,

First of all which version of ZorinOS did you install: Lite or Core? Please update your profile here on the forums to reflect that to make it easier to provide better assistance.

Secondly, there's a button to edit your messages. Please use that in the future instead of opening new threads.

And finally, if you don't want to re-install the OS version entirely I think you can follow this thread to remove xfce and install gnome.

You can find the Terminal under the start menu -> System -> Xfce Terminal. Instead of looking for it manually you just type "terminal" in the start menu to run a search for that.

You can also press Ctrl + Alt + T to launch it.

Zorin OS Core comes with Gnome Desktop.

Is the actual issue that you are trying to install Gnome 43?

@longshanks Please help us help you by indicating which edition of ZorinOS you have. Thanks. Zab

Hi yes that makes sense
I have Zorin 16.2 lite installed in a dual boot with Win 11. I tried to install gnome vanilla desktop via terminal but got this message " you don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/ archives".
A bit new to Linux so I need some help please.

sudo apt clean && sudo apt autoremove

What is the partition size?

100Gb
