I am on Gnome DE in xfce. My experience are very badly. Wayland on login nothing happend. Desktop Zorin i was testing many app not working and games very buggy and freezeing not smoothly to playing.
The wayland that comes with Zorin 16 (ubuntu 20.04) isn't mature enough. If you want to use wayland I suggest you use another distro that comes with the latest wayland.
On Fedora and wayland with the latest nvidia driver I can game smoothly.

It's a shame Mir got captured by Canonical.
Zorin is working on that and may have a lot's of bug's. If your work depends on it switch to another distro's
