GNOME Software Freezing When Installing Flatpak Apps

Hi,

I'm using Zorin OS 17 core and I'm experiencing an issue with the GNOME Software center. When I try to install applications from Flathub (using Flatpak), the interface sometimes freezes or shows "Cancel" or "Unable to download", even though the download appears to be running in the background.

There is no visible progress bar or percentage shown, which makes it hard to know if the app is actually installing or not. However, when I use the terminal with flatpak install, everything works fine.

I have already tried:

Updating Flatpak and the system

Re-adding the Flathub repository

Installing gnome-software-plugin-flatpak

Clearing GNOME Software's cache

Is there any known fix or workaround for this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Can you check if the flatpak system helper service needs its handle jiggled?

systemctl restart flatpak-system-helper.service

A Progress Bar is there but only small. When You click on the Install Button, You should see under it a thin filling Line from left to right.

Did You tried it with stopping the Process of Gnome Software? Try to download a Flatpak and when it doesn't work, open the System Monitor and under ''Proccesses'' search for gnome-software and end the Process. You will see that the Gnome Software Window disappears. Then start it again and look if it works.

Another Option could be to reinstall Gnome Software and the Flatpak Plugin. To do that, open the Terminal and type:

sudo apt reinstall gnome-software gnome-software-plugin-flatpak

Next Thing: Does Your System run in Wayland or X11/Xorg? You can check that in Settings>About

I would also suggest installing the package directly through the command line, just to test if that works or not. If it doesn't work, it might be an issue with the remote server and not the Software store.

It works fine though the command line

It worked when I reinstalled GNOME software and cleared the cache , but i think it will work temporarily. I hope an update will be released to fix this issue.
