Good guide to auto-mount veracrypt encrypted partition

The one thing that is still quite a bother to set up in linux seems to be encryption, since it is only painless when you can opt for a full clean install (with LUKS).

I honestly have not found a way (with ZorinOS on a dual-boot Laptop) to encrypt the Zorin partition or another partition with LUKS via any kind of GUI experience... which kind of defeats the whole accessibility point of ZorinOS.
Security and encryption these days are more important than they used to be... and have certainly become "unpainful" under Windows with bitlocker.

For ZorinOS, I have now used Veracrypt to make an encrypted partition, which I can then mount as separate media.

I followed the instructions in this URL:

And that worked actually quite well, after I had made the partition in veracrypt with a keyfile.

The change I added was to use ~/NAMEOFPARTITION in fstab to show up in the main column of file manager without having to go to other locations.

If anyone knows of easy ways to encrypt the system partition or any other partition I would love to hear. The benefit of veracrypt by the way is that the encrypted partition is readable in both windows and linux in my dual-boot system.

Making security/encryption easier might be one that ZorinOS could pick up on to deliver a bitlocker-like experience out of the box as well.
Just a thought.
