On any Zorin theme, if I launch gnome-calculator from flathub (it uses gtk4) it uses the dark theme.

This is right. But it's a flatpak app: it carries its own themes.
I don't know how to force the app to use them.
I remember this can be done; @Aravisian surely knows.
Flatseal manages permissions.

I am certain that the permissions were granted. But I am not certain that the app will use the gtk3 Zorin theme. It will still look for a gtk4 folder in the theme.
I copied the adwaita gtk4 themes into my current theme/gtk4 folder and it worked.
