Having issues with install from ISO USB stick to SD Card

Hey guys. Previous Linux, Ubuntu user. New to Zorin. I'm converting my old Dell gaming laptop to an offline file server. I will be utilizing Zorin Core for this setup. I want to install from an 8 GB USB stick to a 128 GB SD Card. M.2 SSD removed from the computer. SD Card reader built into the computer. When I attempt to go through the install after selecting language, I get no option to choose a drive. Instead, it tells me I need 14.7 GB to install Zorin OS and my computer has 7.8 GB. It seems like it really wants me to install directly to the 8 GB USB stick which I do not want to do. As I'm typing this, I'm starting to wonder if maybe I need to use a 16+ GB stick to allow me to install to my SD Card? I did try to use a 64 GB USB stick. I was able to get to the next steps in the process, but I have no option to install to my SD card. The installer crashes when I hit + or create. When I hit -, it tells me there's no root option or something like that. It does the same thing if I turn off Secure Boot in the BIOS. Going to the partition and disk programs, they appear to only see the USB stick and not the SD card. Any idea why Zorin is not picking up my SD card?? My Windows SSD picks it up just fine, no problems! Appreciate your assistance here.

Is this an MMC Sd card?
These are treated like Removable Media, not block devices to install to, which is why the Subiquity installer is not seeing it.

If intent on using the SD Card, you could try connecting it via a USB adapter, which can allow it to identify as a block device (/dev).

Welcome to the Forum!

Maybe try instead of the SD Card another USB Stick as Installation Medium.
