hi ,i have a problem i cant use the ClamUI i download from software in Zorin 18.1 ask non-stop 'Update Database' to download the latest virus definitions,i look up on the forum end try all the code after i update all I restart but keep asking to update virus definitions. Yes, i think there are some grave issues with ClamUI, certainly in respect of the current release of 0.1.8 all the way back to 0.1.5. The only one that works well is 0.1.4 which you can download the .deb package from the official GitHub repository:
You need to scroll down the page until you get to 0.1.4 and use the .deb package.
There are other flaws with the latest too. I installed Lynis and Chkrootkit and it still said they needed installing!
[Note I am using a different distribution, but I suspect same issues]

Looks like the same error @Ponce-De-Leon i had with it will be missing stuff in folders thats needed i did get mine working from a backup i had on another computer but i went back to Clamtk to get the defenitions for it Then in terminal i use
sudo freshclam....... to make sure its updated then
sudo clamscan -r /home/homename .......... to scan in terminal

The old GUI for ClamAV is ClamTK. That still functions OK, just no longer maintained.
