How can I download gdb on zorin os 18?

I have managed to install gcc and make through build essential. I tried installing gdb but it gave me error like no installation candidate available.

Can anyone help me what is happening?

When You type sudo apt install gdb it doesn't work?

It gives me a error saying installation candidate is not available.

Can You post the complete Terminal Output please?

fan@zorin-Laptop:~$ sudo apt install gdb

Package gdb is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:

E: Package 'gdb' has no installation candidate

You have already created a thread to this topic:

I thought I got ignored or some stuffs were not clear as I didn't get a reply. That's why I created this one.

When I entered this command to install gdb on Zorin 18 live session it worked and installed the package. Maybe you should check your sources lists.

What should be changed in source list? I had opened that file but don't know what needs to be changed in it? I think critical links are there related to driver and software update.

You can post the content of
/etc/apt/sources.list
and
/etc/apt/sources.list.d
here.

see the sources.list(5) manual.

There is nothing in sources.list.d

It is difficult for me to compare at the moment because I'm not at the computer.
Here you can see a thread with the file to compare:

I compared and tried to fix it but it didn't work. I uploaded to chatgpt and it gave me links to keep in source.list file so I don't know what will be future problem but I got to install gdb easily.

Can you tell me if I will get future problem?

You can copy the sources.list File in the linked Thread from @Forpli:

Thanks for the help. I hadn't changed my sources.list before but somehow it was corrupted.
Now, I am using one from thread you referenced and it is working fine.

I have one question. My email is original one and I sent some links. Will this dox me in future?

I don't understand the Question. What is with Your E-Mail and what Links?
