How can I make the upper panel non transparent while using the dock?

I am using the the Zorin layout with the panel on top and the dock at the bottom. The only thing I want to change is that the upper panel isn't transparent, but this configuration option is greyed out while using this layout. I can only adjust it while using a different layout.

How can I make the upper panel non transparent while using the dock? I tried using gnome extensions like dash to dock and dash to panel simultaneously, but that does not work, because as soon as I toggle on dash to panel the dock is gone.

Hello @Falconer78,

welcome to Zorin forum.

Go to the Dash-to-Panel settings.

Select "Fine tune".

Switch on "Keep original Gnome shell dash" or "Keep original Gnome shell topbar".

I am not sure which one of these is better.

Welcome to tthe Forum!

In the Extension Settings should be an Option to turn on the Gnome Shell Top Panel. You find this Option in the Zorin Taskbar Settings, too. It is in the Action Tab when You scroll down. There is an Option to keep the original Gnome Shell Top Bar where You have to activate the Toggle to get it:

In Dash to Panel, it should be similar to that.

But even then the Transparency leads to the Standard or used Theme Value. To adress that, You can use Gnome Extensions. The first Option offers beneath adjustable Transparency a lot of more Customization Options:

If You should be only interested in adjusting the Transparency, this one would only adress that:
