How do i map the left superkey to the applications menu?

How can I map the left super key to open the apliactions menu in zorin os 17 core? When I press the superkey I get the activities overview not the app dashboard

You can do that through Zorin Appearance > Interface :+1:

Do note that this only works if you have selected a layout where the Zorin Menu is available.

I dont use the zorin menu, I use the full screen layout

There should have been already an option to show aplication dashboard instead of the activities overview but there isnt, I can only choose Activity Overview and Zorin Menu.
The only thing I noticed is that by pressing Super+A I get the app dashboard but im looking for a way to map it directly to Super_L

The Zorin Menu is only available with the right layouts that display it, as you can see in the settings that option would be grayed out otherwise:

But you have a good point, it'd be nice to have that option available at least when the layout has switched.

For now though, you can try this workaround. In a terminal, run these commands one at the time.

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter overlay-key 'SUPER_R'
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.keybindings toggle-application-view "['SUPER_L','<Super_L>']"
