My laptop has keyboard backlight but when i install zorin it didn't really lit up. I also can't find the settings to turn it on.
Which manufacturer made the keyboard? Perhaps the RGB app will help.

When the Light is controlable with Keyboard Shortcuts, it is independent from Zorin. When You have to use the Fn Key plus a specific Key, it should work.

Have a look at my SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen3.
On my keyboard, I have a SteelSeries logo, on a key, its a modifier key. Much like the FN key, on my notebook keyboard, which was also is made by SteelSeries, for my MSI notebook.
These modifier keys, are how we turn backlighting off/on, adjust brightness, and setup macros. Additionally, the hardware of my main keyboard, can also make adjustments with the built in OLED display as well.
