All our machines are HDD free for last 8 years
The first thing I do after getting a laptop is to replace HDD with SSD. It is the best way to accelerate the system along with increasing RAM.
I just remember that I've never enabled Fastboot in BIOS!
Call me an old school and/or nerd
but I love to watch the boot sequence running on a black screen. It gives me a feeling of assurance that the system is working as it should
Ah, the famous theory of "watched kettle never boils" has been proven itself again
But joke aside, I have found that Zoring 15.3 Lite installed on the 10 yeas old Aspire boots much faster than the 5 years old HP. As I said above, Fastboot is disabled for both machines. This observation makes me wonder whether the slow booting is something to do with GNOME shell.
icon, you can customize Notepadqq exactly the same way as Notepad++.
