How to add custom layout to zorin apperance

I have a created a custom layout for gnome how can i add it to zorin apperance for easy access

I don't think you can just add your own layout.

Since there are existing layouts and they are stored somewhere, I am reasonably sure it can be done. Since I do not regularly use Gnome and do not customize it, I am not sure how. But will look around and see if I find anything.

I don't recommend it, tho, make sure to try it in a virtual machine!

  1. Copy your theme files
  2. Run command in terminal: sudo nautilus /usr/share/themes
  3. Paste that copyed files there
  4. Open zorin appearane and change the theme.

oh not the theme i meant the whole layout

I remember in KDE you can do that. The problem I have with KDE is that its not as polish, and it has many bugs.

yeah i used kde for debian and the boot time was 2 minutes now in zorin with gnome its just under 30 seconds

Well my KDE neon boots fast. Even faster than zorin os core :slight_smile:

it was the opposite for me idk why i tried it 2 times, same results were obtained

For me it was the same, maybe like a couple second difference but it doesn't matter

might be because you have an ssd or something i have a hdd
