I do not have any background images in my desktop so where can I find new desktop images to use as login screen themes instead?

You can try Pling.com ..... there are a lot of themes for all kinds of Linux Desktop themes ......
Choose a category in the left hand menu there are a pile of them .....

GDM is not flexible as SDDM and LightDM so you will likely to find very less themes for GDM
No, I mean login screen theme not desktop...
I've found and set up my login screen theme but
how do I change the Username box font colour?
I do not want it to remain white.
