I use Zorin OS 18 and for some applications they show up on the menu just fine but when I open it up on the taskbar it shows the default icon how do I make the icon show up in the taskbar?

You could take a Look in the preinstalled Program ''Main Menu'' and look there for the Entry of the Program. Click on it and then on the right Side on Properties. A little Window opens. Click on the Icon to change it.
