How to Clone, or Image my Zorin 16.0 OS and do incremental backups

First of all, my apologies if this topic has already been discussed, but the search I made gave over 50 hits, none of which sounded like what I am asking. So, I see there are several tools that allow us to make a Clone/Image of the entire Zorin OS + data. I want to be able to create the Clone/Image onto an external hard drive, and then be able to run some sort of Diff to update the files in the Cloned/Imaged drive in the background. Is this possible? I am obviously not a techie, or I wouldn't be asking this question, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum
For the entire disk imaging I highly recommend
Rescuezilla

I back up my data daily in the external backup drive.

I have never used an incremental back up.
I hope other volunteers will pitch in to offer you some ideas for that.

I second the use of RescueZilla, its basically an easier to use version of Clonezilla. FrenchPress has once again, stepped in with a great recommendation. :star2:
