How to connect to 5G?

Hello,

I'm not sure whether my computer can be connected to 5g.
I've tried the following code.

lspci | egrep -i --color 'wifi|wlan|wireless'
02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03)

I think 802.11ac means that I could be able to connect to 5g.
However, I could not find any solution on the internet.

Can anyone help me a bit with this?

Do you have a dual band wifi card?
Have you thoroughly checked your Router Configuration?

How do I check it?

Do you mean whether my rooter has 2.4 and 5? If so, yes it does.

There are two 5Gs. And that is confusing a lot of people. There is the 5G that all the wireless companies are promoting which is actually 5th generation of wireless technology. Then there are two frequencies that most wireless routers have and they are 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz. The 5g of your router is NOT the same as the 5G the wireless companies are promoting. So depending on which one you mean your wireless card can probably get the 5G from your router but unless you have a special wireless modem you CANNOT get the 5G the wireless carriers are promoting. I hope this helps.

Thanks, I was unsure on this and what the difference was, too.

Your welcome. I'm just trying to give back a little after all the help I have gotten from you and several others on this forum.
