How to get rid of redundant pre lock screen?

I probably asked this before because I got rid of it before but I can't find the answer.

I reinstallled and I want to get rid of the 1st screen, the click here, slide up, yada yada, that you have to interact with so you can see the real lock screen you enter your password on.

My opinion, this is the most useless feature ever addded to an OS.

As far as I remember, clicking/sliding can be replaced with any key press, which will be assumed as part of the password

In other words, you can just start typing the password on the first screen of the lock screen, no need for clicking nor sliding up

You can setup automatic login in Settings -> Users. This will bypass your user's password, however.

I found this old question in AskUbuntu but doesn't seem to work. I assume there's something that needs to be changed.

don't know what you talking about lol when i startup it goes straight to login screen

Zorin OS Lite and Core use a different display manager — terrible name as it just serves as the login screen — maybe there are some differences there. In Gnome (Core), you first have to select the user you want to login as:

Even though it already selects the last user session, you have to click on it, instead of typing the password right away.

Or, at least, this is what I think OP means.

I thought it's probably a gnome thing.

Or an Ubuntu thing? PCLOS Debian doesn't have this issue:

7 minutes 15 seconds in.

I have also observed PCLinuxOS Debian does not have Gnome DE at all, only Budgie, Cinnamon, KDE (Plasma), MATE, and xfce.
