A note taking app I like using started posting updates via appimage. How would I "install" the appimage the same way you would otherwise install a program?
Where do I put the appimage file? Should I have a folder of just appimages like a programs folder?
How can I have an icon/shortcut to the program in my applications folder?
Most appimages behave as an installer, so check for and follow any installation guide provided by the developer of that appimage.
Otherwise, you can usually simply create a .desktop file for one and add it to your App menu Launchers list that way.
