[HOW TO] Install Google Chrome

To install the Google Chrome web browser on Zorin OS, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Firefox and navigate to Google Chrome's website
  2. Click the "Download Chrome" button.
  3. Select the "64 bit .deb (For Debian/Ubuntu)" option and click "Accept and Install".
  4. Open the Files app and navigate to the "Downloads" folder.
  5. Double-click on the "google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb" file.
  6. Click the "Install" button in the new window that appears.

You should now be able to launch Google Chrome from the "Internet" section of the Zorin menu. Updates to the app should install automatically in the background when they become available.

Is it possible to install Google Chrome on Zorin Lite 32bit?

I do not believe it is, as Google Chrome has discontinued 32bit support.

Be sure to install the Linux Scroll Speed Fix extension to fix the horribly slow scroll speed. Works great.

Zorin has dropped 32 bit support beginning Zorin 16. When 15 reaches end of life Zorin will no longer support 32 but architectures.

You can install SRWare Iron, it's got 32 and 64 bit versions.

It's basically Chrome with all the Google corporate spyware neutered. I've used it on Windows and now on Linux. Same extensions, same look and feel, the identical browser across operating systems.
