I put an icon, short cut, on my desktop for HOME before I realised it was not needed. Now I can't get it off. The rt click over the icon will not remove it, no option there.
Go to Zorin Appearance, open the tab "Desktop" and uncheck the box for the icon for your Home folder.

You're welcome! That happened to me once in Zorin Lite, too, so I can feel with you and I was really frustrated back then because I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the icon which I had set in any of the many settings.
