How to send a proposal to Zorin dev team? – Zorin Pro with Python wrapper for AI (LibreOffice + ChatGPT)

Hello Zorin Team and Community,
I'm a Japanese user and LibreOffice/Brave fan who recently prepared a proposal for Zorin OS Pro, suggesting:

  • AI integration (via ChatGPT) into LibreOffice using Python scripting
  • A potential Japan-based collaboration/support hub for Zorin
What is the best way to directly contact the Zorin development team to share this kind of proposal?
Should I post the full letter here?

For a business proposal, you can submit the contact form at the bottom of their About webpage:

Personally in terms of ChatGPT for LibreOffice scripting should really be addressed to The Document Foundation. Personally Chat GPT is now a potential security risk.

Welcome to the Forum!

You can take the Way that @Aravisian gave You. Or You can open a Feedback Thread and post there Your Proposal.

But because the 2nd Point with the Collaboration/Support sound for me more like a Business Thing, maybe that from @Aravisian would be the better Way.

To be honest, as an user of Zorin, what you're suggesting would be a dealbreaker for me. I wouldn't want such deep integration of AI on my Zorin install. And it goes against several principles contained within the Linux philosophy. I would be open to the Zorin Group including one, simple (and uninstallable) AI app that acts as a standalone app (as a chatbot only). That would make sense. Nothing that would integrate with any particular app or with the OS as a whole. Thanks.

The ZorinGroup has openly stated that they are not interested in any deep A.I. integration in Zorin OS.

It is important to hear propositions in full without jumping to conclusions and to have ears open to feedback. But not all feedback will be accepted.
