My FL studio DAW for some reason keeps bringing up the default demo song/project as though is was newly installed. Every time I uninstall from the FL-Studio .wine folder and then reinstall it still behaves the same. Maybe case I haven’t removed every trace of the FL-Studio installation.
What is the best method to eviscerate the DAW’s presence before I can reinstall?
As with Windows, most of the leftover junk is in the appdata folders. Look in:
- /home/YOURUSERNAME/.wine/drive_c/users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData
- /home/YOURUSERNAME/.wine/drive_c/users/YOURUSERNAME/Application Data
- /home/YOURUSERNAME/.wine/drive_c/users/YOURUSERNAME/Local Settings/Application Data
and delete anything there.
Also, look in /home/YOURUSERNAME/Documents, as a last resort.
This was also why I recommended, earlier, to use PlayOnLinux - that creates as many virtual drives as you want. Install on them, if a program doesn’t clear out completely, simply delete the virtual drive and create a new one. You can probably do that with Wine alone but POL makes it a lot easier and quicker.
