This info is important for anyone that might be having issues with sound or maybe some other hardware... My HP ENVY is an amazing computer and I installed ZORIN because I wanted to get the most out of it. 17 inches, 64gb ram and especially... BANG & OLUFSEN speakers built in...
BUT the sound on ZORIN would not play...
tried endlessly with tons of coding...
THE SOLUTION WAS SIMPLE... UPDATE THE KERNEL!!!
But the computer would not want to load kernels past 6.8....
sooo.... months went by... and I kept trying...
WELL... THE BIOS WAS BLOCKING THE KERNELS!!!
So if you are having those issues, this is an important check to do apparently.
I wanted to thank @Aravisian and the others for all the help and effort to get me going! I LOVE ZORIN!
