HP laptop refuse to see zorin os usb

The other usb stick is still not accepted by the hp notebook when i flashed the iso with Universal USB Installer. Again i get the screen blinking again. I put it in my Acer machine and boots up just fine.

Is the hp machine setup with mbr or efi? In the bios are power savings turned on for usb ports? Does the hp have irst and is it enabled in the bios? Is the target machine setup with a raid? These are a few things that have been issues in seeing drives.

EFI, nope nothing turned on and irst is not available on this laptop (or raid). It came with 1 old hhd 5400 rpm. I changed that one for a ssd drive.

This topic serves to remind us all that USB sticks can be seen as consumable disposables and to trust them as much as a stray dog.

It still unclear to me why it works on one laptop and not on the other. I will check for a bios update for this model tommorow.
