Don't know if this is important but seems weird to me.
I set up a video transcode in handbrake, at the same time install makemkv, as well open the browser.
the cpufreq showed that the computer system load was over 200% but the laptop didn't increase the Ghz of the processors. They still stayed around 2.6.
Answer my own Question, that is the max it can do. When I paused the transcode they went back to 800Mhz one by one.

Well you could try Q4OS Plasma. I installed it on m'lady's tower I built in 2006 with single Athlon AMD 64-bit processor (2 GHz), 2 Gb RAM, and an EVGA 512 Mb 8x AGP card. Is quite slow in response times, set with Win 10 theming via Look Switcher and Tiled Menu from zren via add new widgets.
Hi there, just for the record I installed *Z 'lite' > same result.
I'm convinced Zorin is not responcible for the slloooow performance, this hardware just doesn't like linux.
