I am not sure how I missed post number 61... That's been a wait.
I am not actually sure where we stand at this point. I see multiple issues listed at once. A Radio issue: Wifi and Bluetooth and the O.P. of a USB port issue. I believe that the radio issue should be a separate thread.
Going back to the BIOS issue, does your motherboard have ASUS EZ Flash 3 option? It is what I do to upgrade mine (AMD Ryzen 7 ASUS X470-PRO) and also other family Members ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Ranger [Intel Kirby Lake Processors]). You don't need Windows for this, just download zip file to USB and update following the guide from here:
