I have been running Bazzite and have been for the last several months and have no complaints. But I do like the look of Zorin OS. Is the set up and day to day running of ZOrin as easy as Bazzite, will it run my games effortlessly (I do light gaming with titles such as Maximum Football) I do a lot of table top role playing with a virtual tabletop, how will ZOrin interact with that.

You could try Zorin in Live Mode to check some Stuff. Or: If You have a sperate Drive, install it as Dual-Boot, check all out and look if it suits Your needs.
You can run Games on Zorin, too with installing Steam, Lutris etc. But when Your Focus are Games, I think that Bazzite might be the better Choice.
