Using the Godot engine, I've created several projects of average quality, but now I'm trying to develop a really good game. The game will be on par with PSX quality and will run on all devices.
Perhaps you could cast Mr Gates as a resurrected Windows Zombie. (Pun intended.)

What struck me about Subnautica was that it was actually a horror game.
The scenery is so pleasant and nice... You don't realize you are playing a horror game.
...Until...
And that it more slowly dawns on you is more nerve wracking than having an explanation that it is horror handed to you in some fast and obvious way increases its potency tenfold.
To me, that is the best route for horror; when the sun is shining and the birds are singing. A nice breeze. Bees flit from one smelly flower to another and the pretty girl smiling next to you has a large bloodied axe hidden in hammer space.
