As a Windows user for over 10 years, I took the plunge yesterday and installed Zorin OS on my test computer. After being impressed with its performance and appearance, I decided to switch to Zorin OS Pro to support them, and I've now completely switched from Windows. I initially thought it would be very difficult, but thanks to the ease of use of Zorin OS, I got used to it very quickly. I'd also like to thank the Zorin OS team for all their hard work! ![]()
Welcome and congratulations!
I was in the same situation a year ago. I had Windows 11 and switched to Zorin Pro. I don't miss Windows anymore and have completely removed it.
Have fun with your new operating system!

I am a windows user for twenty years and also decided to switch in a personal environment (work still relies on it of course). Great you made the switch now too.
The people here are really nice and helpful for all potentially problems you might encounter (even though I hope you don't get any). I recommend to keep trying, I've been struggling here and there too.
As a gamer I still got Win11 on a dual boot for the few games that refuse to support Linux and every time I load it up it just makes me understand how important refusing Microsofts agenda is.
I'm new myself so I can't help much yet but ask anytime if you got questions (after searching the forum of course
).
Cheers!
Welcome aboard!
I think last time I used Windows on my computers was WindowsMe (or was it XP?), else I have used Linux the last 25 years.
Welcome aboard. ![]()
Hi, welcome aboard!
And congratulations to you too, @Dexxa for your first year ![]()
Welcome aboard
Zorin OS! ![]()
I too much prefer Zorin OS, because its as it should be, an OS, not a privacy infringing mining tool.
Zorin
is so smooth, and once finding way around, so comfortable to use. Stable, too... and lots of help on here ![]()
Welcome. Enjoy Zorin!
Thank you all for your kind thoughts. ![]()
