Can you please describe the problem?
The screenshot you linked to looks normal - although the terminal is opened within a directory in your Home Folder rather than being opened to just Home.
You can back up the tree with

cd ..

SL stands for Steam Locomotive.
It shows you a running train if you miss-typed ls as sl

And yes it sometimes leaves a big space after showing the train. A bug might be, but it's not a big issue.
