I see Pinta now has dark mode and image preview

Cool. v2.0.2

This makes me happier about switching to Linux. Gimp is kinda clunky for light photo editing.

BTW, it's good to check what the latest version of stuff is instead of just trusting the Zorin store.

Yep, I am also using the Pinta 2.02 and it is massively improved.

I previously used ON1, but am making the switch to Darktable, and so far, find this the best Linux alternative.

Another vote for Darktable for personal use - sometimes I might edit in GIMP first then touch up in Darktable. When I was working from home until I retired, due to the nature of my work it was modifying images for Large Print Students who need images to be uncluttered.

I have Pinta installed but it is from way back when ..... just checked the website and they only offer it in Flatpack or Snap ..... is there another way to install without using them ????

When I post things like this, I often wonder if you will hate me for it... :stuck_out_tongue:

Is Pinta feeling ok? It looks a bit green around the gills.

Oh my .... is that what happened .... no wonder it wouldn't load it was feeling poorly ..... .....

Unfortunately I have gotten quite fond of it as the green florescent highlight color works wonders for my tired ol' eyes .... can't say I couldn't see my copy and past subjects any more .... :ghost:

2.0.2 is in the Zorin store.

The 2.0.2 Pinta in Software is a Flatpak. Just clarifying.

I don't know what that is or why you wouldn't want it.
